After my two classes destroyed about 14 microphones, I decided to make a quickie tutorial about how to tape the contact mics.  The important thing is to tape the wire first to relieve stress on the smaller wires soldered to the disk face.

Equally important is taping the piezo element flat against the object without taping over the solder joints.  I have found that using two pieces of tape covers lots of surface area and keeps the disk flat without needing to cover the solder points.

I purposefully left out the software settings for the recorders.  That is for the next tutorial.  As I have worked with the classes, it may be useful to create a tutorial about the aesthetic principles before they record.
